ROYAL Air Philippines has appointed Asia Airfreight Terminal (AAT) as its cargo terminal operator based at Hong Kong International Airport. This development comes as the airline has commenced a new direct route connecting Hong Kong to Bohol island in the Philippines.
The carrier launched direct passenger charter flights between Bohol and Hong Kong on September 30. The service operates twice a week using Airbus A319 aircraft.
The new route is expected to increase the trade of perishables, such as fruits, between Hong Kong and Bohol, thereby contributing to the economic growth of both cities.
As one of the largest islands in the Philippines, Bohol is also one of the country's top tourist attractions that is famous for its beautiful beaches and green natural surroundings.
